True Single Payer Healthcare Resources

Is there a better solution to the American health care "crisis"?

   "Yes there is."

We believe that a broadly based and equitably funded health care policy can be achieved that will provide health services to all residents of our state and our country. This is not socialism or communism or even un-American. This is the true meaning of "shared responsibility".

The goals of an effective healthcare system should be that it is:
Universal
Continuous
Affordable to individuals and families
Sustainable to society
Enhances health and well-being of our citizenry and our nation

There are many health care proposals making their way through governmental and political channels at this time. Nearly all of these plans are based at least partly on the Massachusetts "experiment", which clearly does not meet these goals.

Legislation is currently pending on Beacon Hill called the Massachusetts Health Care Trust Bill (HB 2127) whose aim is "guaranteeing first rate health care coverage for every resident of the state, while saving money for state and local government, businesses, and residents."

There is one national bill being put forth in the U.S. Congress by Rep. John Conyers, Jr. (D. MI) titled H. R. 676, "The United States National Health Insurance Act," or "Expanded & Improved Medicare For All" that proposes a publicly financed, privately delivered health care system that improves and expands the already existing Medicare program, it would be available to all U.S. residents, and all residents living in U.S. territories. See more about H. R. 676 here. Another bill active in the U.S. Senate is sponsored by Sen. Bernie Sanders (D. VT) is S.703.
